LA’s first Cookie Con & Sweets Show took place in Pasadena this past Sunday and we were there bright and early. Coffee and donuts typically go hand in hand, but this time we had our coffee first and then some donuts, cookies, ice cream, AND even dare I say cupcakes for breakfast. We don’t shy from any type of sweets, but if an event has #Donuts, #Cookies, or #IceCream, you can count on us to be there.
We drove an hour to get to Pasadena to attend this event and didn’t know what to expect, as this was the first sweet convention for us. Some of the attendees were local. Some drove as far as we did, and there were others that even drove 2-4 hours to visit the LA Cookie Con & Sweets Show. When it comes to sweets, distance knows no bounds.
The show started at 10:00am, and we came at 9:30am to see a huge line wrapped around the Pasadena convention center. Men, women, and children lined up in two lines, General Admission and a VIP line (which was a little extra, but we received a “Swag Bag” with some sweets and baking tools included.)
We got our wristbands and walked through the doors to see that we just stepped into the sweet spot. Without checking out any vendors, we booked it straight to the VIP lounge first because the event was from 10:00am – 11:00am and we didn’t want to miss out on VIP Goodies. We got some free ice cream sandwiches from Jen & Joes’ Cookie Dough, cakepops from Albert’s Petite Sweets, and other cookies from various vendors.
Would we come back to the LA Cookie Con & Sweets show next year? YES, OF COURSE! As long as there are vendor booths with delicious Donuts, Cookies, and Cream, then you’ll definitely see us back for more. What are your thoughts on this event?
