It’s Sunday, and you’re thinking, “it’s a nice day for a stroll.” Where do you go? The Anaheim Packing District of course. It’s been open since last summer and the community has been growing a fast pace. Some places we’ve visited were Popbar, Crepe Coop, and Hans’ Homemade Ice cream inside the Anaheim Packing House. However, there’s a Farmer’s Market set up in the parking lot, with fresh produce and samples that may or may not put Costco’s sample city to shame. One of the many vendors that attracts you right away is Delectable Darlings, with their macarons and other homemade baked goods.
Delectable Darlings first started as a blog back in 2012 by Nichelle and a friend. As they were baking and experimenting with a lot of new things, Nichelle took on the challenge of baking macarons to test her skills. #ChallengeYourself
When Nichelle was ready, she brought the macarons to parties and people would go nuts over them, and that’s when bloggers turned into dedicated bakers.
The macarons comes in many different flavors and they are seasonal. Flavors include: Cookie Butter, Chai Tea, Cake Batter, Blood Orange, Double Chocolate, Mocha Latte, Red Velvet, Cotton Candy, Passion Fruit, Lavender, and Cookies & Cream. The three most popular flavors that is a must get are Cookie Butter, Cake Batter, and Banana Split.
We loved the flavors and each macaron had that chewy on the inside crispy on the outside goodness. Nichelle has been baking and selling macaron for almost two years now, and her ultimate goal is to have a store front with black and white tile floors where people can come sip on some coffee, nibble on macarons, and write their life novels. When you’re at the Anahiem Packing House on a Sunday morning, be sure to stop by and pick up some delectable macarons after your stroll, you earned it.
Check out Delectable Darlings’ website and Instagram to see all the goodies Nichelle has to offer.
