BakerCakeMaker sure knows how to put a smile on our faces, and feed our hungry bellies.
BakerCakeMaker had their grand opening approximately two weeks ago, and is located in East Hollywood of Los Angeles, CA.
We had a 7-course breakfast upon entry. Of course we came here for the Donuts, Cookies, and Cream, BUT when it comes to dessert; WE DON’T DISCRIMINATE. Baker Cake Maker has the D.C.C. goods AND MORE. Yes, this was our first meal of the day, and yes this was 7-courses of absolute deliciousness, BUT, before we get into this topic for the breakfast of champions, let us give you a little background on how this little shop was born.
The owner, Aris, is one of the most genuine, and most passionate pastry chefs we’ve come across. Prior to owning his very own bakery, he worked as a pastry chef for some of the most high-end hotels and upscale restaurants in LA. You know what that means? He’s fancy shmancy when it comes to baking these bad boys, and knows the secret to making it LOOK and TASTE like an item you will see at a fine dining restaurant (for a great price!). He has had endless years of love for baking cakes and pastries. His expertise in this industry fueled his passion even deeper, and ta da, he turned his dream into a reality, and opened his very own shop.
Aris’ passion for baking speaks for itself with the display and tastes of his menu items. He has an artistic mindset, and talented hands that create some of the most delicious pastries and desserts we’ve ever had! Dun dun dun… Enter, the 7-course breakfast!
Stuffed Oreo Cookies - Wait, what? Stuffed Oreo Cookies?! It’s exactly what it sounds like. A double stuffed vanilla Oreo…inside of a cookie. It’s like they married each other and became one. #unitedasone #getinourbellies For the Oreo lovers, this is a no brainer, and a must have –Soft and moist with the bite of the Oreo, and a little crunch from the cookie on the outside.
Chocolate Chip Cookie – This isn’t your average chocolate chip cookie. First of all, the chocolate chips are huge, AND very moist with every bite. The cookie itself is really soft, and the edge of the cookie has that perfect crunch.
Food for the gods – Brown sugar cake made with California walnuts and Medjool dates, it was the perfect combination infused in a bread-like pastry. #sittingonourthrone
Ensaimada – We like to think of this delicious pastry that originated from Spain as a next level muffin. BCM’s Ensaimada had a sweet and savory taste upon first bite from the sugar and melted butter on top that definitely takes the cake
Special Ensaimada – A variety of cheese on cheese on cheese on top of BCM’s original Ensaimada
Bread Pudding – there are no words to describe this plate of awesomeness. We’re pretty sure Aris wanted to feed us more foods, but we were throwing in the towel, and he decided to end our course with a big bang.
We were eyeing that Coolhaus cookie ice cream sandwich freezer, but had no more space left from the 7 courses. Be sure to check out BakerCakeMaker when you’re in LA. Pro Tip: Come in the morning time for those FRESH FRESH goodies, Bobo’s coffee and tea.
